We are SPIA Diversity. Founded through the SPIA Ambassadors program, our mission is to acknowledge the adversity that historically underrepresented people face in SPIA at UGA. We wanted to create this organization to uphold the values of diversity, advocacy, and mentorship.

Ultimately, we hope to create a safe niche for underrepresented students in SPIA. This organization will serve as a safe space for underrepresented minority students within SPIA, creating a safe space for students to discuss their experiences at a predominantly white institution, hosting events specific to underrepresented students within SPIA, providing guidance through mentorship, and serving as a line between faculty, students and staff.
